Ludicrous Dream

Tactile Design
The concept of my composition is about dreams being irrational, how things and changes in our dreams have not reason or logical explanation.

The idea stemmed from how an individual may react to their dreams when they just wake up and also how the only thing constant in your dreams are changes. In portraying the dreams being irrational, I adopted surrealism, as it parallels with dreams in the notion of producing fantastic imagery or irrational juxtaposition in expressing oneself.

In order to show the dynamics and levels in which a dream could go. I decided to do two stark contrasting environment separated by an optical illusion door. This represents the thin fine line that dreams lie on, where anything is possible and changes happen very quickly. The optical illusion door also depicts the intangible imaginary line where changes go through.

As for another medium I decided to use acrylic and frost it, as this was meant to covey to people how our dreams are mystical and always blurry till the point where the dreamer doesn’t remember their dreams.

Printed the lino cut design on 2 mediums.
Alternative medium that I printed on. It is actually an acrylic material but I frost it to make it translucent.
